The Paliepiai Church of the Holy Cross

Places to Visit

The church of Paliepiai was built in the middle of the 18th century. At first it served as a wooden cemetery chapel. Almost a hundred years passed when it was enlarged and a priest was appointed here. A three-floor wooden bell tower and village cemetery is in the churchyard. The grave of Lithuanian historian, journalist Vincas Trumpa is next to the church.
