The water mill was built of bricks and stones sometime around (a year of) 1891 and belonged to a former manor. After the front line stopped here in 1944, the mill suffered greatly. Later it was rebuilt and kept milling (grains) yet with a help of electricity. The mill, together with the belonging lands, was returned to the daughter of the former owner, the famous Lithuanian philanthropist Emma Bodendorf in 1993. A few episodes of the famous Lithuanian movie “Nobody Wanted to Die” were shot here.
